THE POTTER AND THE CLAY

Ever experience a potter in a clay house moulding a clay into a vessel before? Practically the clay is of no value. It is made valuable only in the right hands for the right purpose.’’

Then I went down to the potter’s house and there he was making something on the wheel. But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hands of the potter, so he remade it into another vessel as it pleased the potter to make’’ (Jerimiah 18 versus 3-4).
Life is a process and to be a fully packaged product you need to be refined and well-shaped. A clay in it raw state is formless, muddy and very sticky. It takes the  Mastery Hands of a Potter to shape a raw and formless clay into a decorated vessel.

This is not a nine day wonder journey as it requires determination, stamina and inner fortitude to deal with intense pressures from all angles.A clay cannot mould itself likewise humans didn’t create themselves; but it is God who created us. He (Master Potter) therefore has the power to properly shape and guide our lives. Human (Clay) needs to submit to God (master potter) in order to be formed into something useful according to His will.

Meanwhile if humans (Clay) refuses to submit wholly to God (Master Potter), then he is subjected to vulnerability and imperfections. This portrays the sovereignty of God (Master Potter) over humans (Clay), therefore he has not just perfect plans for humans (Clay) but sees the finished product in His mind, setting in motion perfect PLAN for our LIFE.
